On the 18th day of March 2012 — 2PM onwards at Paseo del Rio Business Complex (at Rotunda), Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City, CdoKada will hold the 5th Cdo Tumblr Meetup with the theme “The White Day - A Shirt Painting Party”.
Interested participants are requested to wear white shirt and to bring cardboard signs, markers, paint, brushes and extra shirts as this will be part of our fun activity. This event is open and free to all Tumblr users.
Expect to get some paint on your shirt!

Why do you linger here when there is no hope?: "New slippers for a New Year": CDOKada's outreach for the Typhoon Sendong victims
Hi everyone! How are you all?
If you have heard the news lately, you will know that Cagayan de Oro Citywas one of the most greatly affected areas by the typhoon Sendong(Washi -Int’l name). There were so many casualties after the December 16, 2011 flashflood and many were left homeless.
CDOKada would like to reach out to the affected families who are now in the evacuation centers waiting for blessings from groups like us. Last December 2010, we did an outreach activity called “30 slippers for Christmas” (tumblr post here: http://cdokada.tumblr.com/post/2505436481) wherein we were able to donate slippers for the beneficiaries of CDO Street Tutorials.
Due to the recent calamity, we would like to bring back the said outreach and this time, we hope to collect more as there are more who need our donations. “NEW SLIPPERS FOR A NEW YEAR”, that is.
We appeal to our CDOKada members, tumblr friends, and other interested parties to help us in this great endeavor. You may participate by:
a. donating at least 2 pairs of slippers (any size and brand will do) and/or
b. contributing any amount (we will be the one to purchase the slippers)
You may also donate other stuff aside from slippers.
We plan to distribute the slippers on December 30, 2011. This will be a New Year’s treat for our beneficiaries.
Rest assured, your contributions will be acknowledged and will be given to those who need them the most. There are CDOKada members who were affected by the typhoon but this will not hinder us from reaching out to others.

Hello One
Yesterday, May 1, 2011, was cdokada’s first anniversary. It has been a year ever since this tumblr group was born and now the group is getting bigger and bigger and has accomplished more than you could ever think of. Yesterday’s celebration started off with the registration and the signing of name tags and was then followed by the opening remarks lead by (@r013) Kuya Roie who was the group’s “founder”. Then the usual Getting-to-know-you portion or commonly known as the GTKY followed.
It was nice seeing the same familiar faces I have seen during the second meet-up which was the very first meet-up that I have attended. It was even awesome to see new faces and knowing more about not just their tumblr blogs but also about them as well. There were also kiddie games and to tell you honestly, it was my first time to join such parlor games since I’m not the kind of kid who’s all “game” into these things before.
There were a lot of kwentos (of course ;D) and a whole lot of kanchaws and tawa. I must say, cdokada people are the craziest but THE awesome-st people there ever is!
At the end of the day, cdokada had managed to collect generous donations from the members for charity and had one badass time as well ;D. Happy Anniversary CDOKADA!
